Federal Public Service Commission has published the tentative schedule via ” Advance Public Notification” for Special CSS Examination 2023. This is for candidates who are eligible according to relevant Rules. The Special CSS Competitive Examination will be held once for vacancies that have remained vacant through CSS Competitive Exam over the past many years.
The FPSC will announce the timetable in due course. Only the following quotas/ provinces will be eligible to take the Special CSS Exams 2023. Candidates from the following regions/quotas are eligible to apply for the Special CSS Exams 2023.
CSS stands for Central Superior Services of Pakistan. The CSS Officers are also known by the name bureaucrats. Federal Public Service Commission announced Special CSS Examinations. Only one Special CSS Examination 2022 will be held. Special CSS will not be repeated every year as general CSS.

- Online Application for MCQs Based Preliminary Test (MPT), for Special CSS Competitive Examination from 10th to 26th of December 2022.
- Conduct of MPT and Posting of Answer Keys on Web: 31 January 2023
- Announcement of the MPT Result: February 15, 2023
- Public Notice for Written CSS Special Competitive Examination: 19.02.2023 (Sunday).
- Receipt online applications from MPT Qualifiers 19 February to 5 March 2023
- Receipt Of Hardcopy of Online Applications Along With Documents From MPT Qualifiers Up to 15 March 2023
- Written CSS Special Examination (commencement date): 4th May 2023 (Thursday)
MPT Test for Special CSS by FPSC
Before the written CSS Special Exam 2023, a screening test MCQS-based Preliminary test will be conducted. For Main Written Special CSS Competitive Examination, you must pass the MCQs-based Preliminary Test. The MPT fee will be Rs. 250/- (Non-Refundable).

Age Limit and Chances of Special CSS Exam
The upper age limit is 32 years. There would be two years of relaxation in upper age limits for the categories listed in Rule 6(2).

MPT Total and Passing marks
According to the FPSC, the total marks are 200 and the passing marks are 66. There is also no negative marking allowed for the MPT.
