The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has decided to implement an integrated MBBS curriculum to begin in the academic year 2022-23. In the course of the session, UHS VC chaired the meeting and presented a brief overview to the participants on what’s new in the MBBS curriculum.
VC UHS also appointed the members of the committee to carry out the new curriculum’s requirements. But, the representatives of diverse private and public medical institutions also attended the meeting on Monday. He also highlighted the importance to develop an updated curriculum following the direction of the World Federation of Medical Education (WFME) as well as the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC).

In the new curriculum, the students are taught fundamental and clinical subjects simultaneously. The students will be able to receive clinical orientation starting beginning from the first day.
