As per the Government of Punjab vide Notification # SOR-1(S&GAD) 9-2/2022, dated 26th January 2022 The PPSC has granted two-year general age relaxation to applicants for the selection process to begin between January 1st, 2022, and 31st December 2022.
However, in the event that PMS posts within the year 2022, and if they are advertised before or on 31-12-2022 then two years general age relaxation is allowed in the selection process for all positions which include those that will be filled by recruitment through the Punjab Public Service Commission and Combined Competitive Examinations.
AMENDMENTS IN THE Punjab Civil Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of the Upper Alter Limit) Rules,1976.
The changes in the Punjab Civil Service Servants Recruitment (Relaxation of the Upper Age Limit) Rules,1976, following rule 3. be added:
3A. Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules, or contrary to any rule applicable to any particular post or service two years of general age relaxation in addition to the age relaxation allowed in these rules or other rules, will be valid for all positions, including those that are to be filled by an examination conducted through the Punjab Public Service Commission and Combined Competitive Examinations:
In the event that this age relaxation is not offered. for recruitment to police force posts: As such now, it’s clear that the two-year relaxation will only be valid beginning January 1, 2022, and ending 31 December 2022, and not beyond this time.
