Types of the GAT General Test

NTS has divided the GAT General test based on different fields of study into four types: GAT A/B, GAT C, and GAT D. Each type covers the exact same syllabus, but each has a different weightage.

GAT A (For Business & Engineering)

Graduates who plan to apply for MS/MPhil in Business programs, such as MS Finance, Management, Banking, or Commerce, must take GAT. Graduates who are pursuing MS in Engineering must also take GAT. Students who intend to study MS in Software Engineering, however, should not take GAT A as this field falls under Engineering.

GAT B (For Arts & Social Sciences)

GAT C (For Agricultural IT, Medical & Physical Sciences)

GAT D (For Madrassa Education)
