AIOU Good News For Associate Degree and BA/BSc candidates is announced recently. Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has decided to launch the Bridging Semester for students in associate Degree (AD) as well as BA/BSc programs. The decision was made at the recent online meeting of AIOU’s Regional Directors.

According to the information, The special semester will permit students from the above programs to attend the 5th semester of any program at AIOU. The program will be in effect beginning Spring Semester 2023.
The meeting online was held in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor (VC) AIOU, Prof. Dr. Nasir Mehmood, in the chair. The event took place in the presence of all 54 Regional Directors from AIOU. During the meeting, the VC requested regional directors to be focused on the principal goal which is to raise the rate of literacy. He further stated the fact that AIOU has increased its number of regional offices that serve this reason in recent times.
The VC acknowledged the efforts that Dr. Zia-ul-Qayyum, former VC AIOU and stated that he had played a significant role in the development of the regional campuses.
He instructed all regional headmen to pay particular focus on the high quality of education. He said that students must have all the amenities they require to be successful in school.
He thanked the regional directors for their effort to make sure that the regional campus receives an abundance of students.
In the course of the meeting, the Director General (DG) of Regional Services AIOU, Dr. Malik Tauqir Ahmed Khan explained that the directorate oversees the performance of regional directors and receives weekly reports from the regional directors.
